Step into a world where live music and theatrical storytelling merge in a unique ritual performance: Divine Madness. This intense experience takes you on a spiritual journey through the depths of the Divine Feminine, inspired by mythology, personal stories and mystical figures such as Lilith and Mary Magdalene.

In this performance, the protagonist Başak Layiç follows the trail of her grandmother, who was labeled "crazy" and tragically met her end. In her quest for liberation, she meets powerful female archetypes and faces questions about mental health, patriarchy and self-discovery.

Divine Madness is an immersive celebration of feminine power, independence and healing. Expect a ritual experience filled with music, myths and deep insights that will challenge you to rethink your own relationship with the divine.

This performance was conceptualised in the beginning of 2024 and premiered in October 2024 at W139 in Amsterdam. Later it was part of the Spirit of Amsterdam 2024 in the auspicious locale of the Dominicuskerk.
